Vince Patton

Master Chief Vince Patton is a member of the “New Day 5” Leadership Development Team focusing on Character Driven Leadership. He served as the 8th Master Chief Petty Officer of the Coast Guard from May 1998 until his retirement from more than 30 years of active service in November 2002. In this position, he was the senior enlisted advisor to the Commandant of the Coast Guard, with primary focus on quality of life issues, career development, work environment and personnel matters affecting over 45,000 active duty, reserve and civilian personnel service wide. His illustrious career included staff and operational assignments both afloat and ashore throughout the United States along with a joint military service assignment in Cuba and Haiti. After retirement from the U.S. Coast Guard in 2002, he has held a variety of senior executive-level positions and in academia. He currently serves on boards for several public service and nonprofit organizations, and is national commander and president for the Non-Commissioned Officers Association.”
