George Giaglis

George Giaglis, Vice Rector (Finance and Development) (2011-2015) is Professor of eBusiness at the Athens University of Economics and Business, Greece. He has previously worked with the University of the Aegean (Greece) and Brunel University (UK), while he has held visiting posts in universities in the UK, Australia, USA, and Finland.

His research and teaching interests focus on electronic business, emphasising on mobile and wireless technologies and business applications, ubiquitous and pervasive information systems, business process modelling and simulation, and information systems investments evaluation.

He has published more than 130 articles in leading journals and international conferences, including the Information Systems Journal, the International Journal of Electronic Commerce, and the International Journal of Information Management. He is a member of the editorial board in seven international academic journals, including Telecommunications Policy, the International Journal of Mobile Communications and the Business Process Management Journal. He has served as Secretary of the annual series of the International Conference on Mobile Business from 2003 to 2008. He has also served as guest-editor in particular issues of the International Journal of Electronic Commerce, International Journal of Mobile Communications, Business Process Management Journal, and International Journal of Flexible Manufacturing Systems.

He was Chair of the Organizing Committee of the International Conference on Mobile Business in 2010, while he has also served on the organizing committees of numerous international conferences, including the European Conference on Information Systems Evaluation, the International Conference on Business Process Modelling, and the Hawaiian International Conference on Systems Sciences.
