As Firm Managing Partner of BlumShapiro, Carl is responsible for the implementation of BlumShapiro’s strategic plan and the effective financial management and operation of the firm. Under his leadership, through mergers, organic growth and the acquisition of experienced talent, the firm has grown to over 400 professional and administrative staff. The firm is the largest regional accounting, tax and business consulting firm based in New England with offices in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

The firm’s expanded service areas include business and technology consulting, forensic accounting and litigation support, business valuation, employee benefit plans, estates and trusts, state and local tax services, Sarbanes-Oxley/internal audits and compliance work for public companies. Major industries we serve include manufacturing, distribution, construction, auto dealerships, healthcare, government and non-profit organizations, including educational institutions and healthcare organizations. Accounting Today recently named us the Best Accounting Firm to Work for in the United States in the "over 250 employee" category.

Carl has nearly 30 years of experience serving privately held companies in a wide range of industries with a concentration in the construction industry. He was elected Chief Operating Officer in 1999 and managing partner in 2002.
